About the event
As part of Lykke Books grand opening May 18, a Gag House volunteer will read “Millions of Cats” at 10:00 am, followed by a reading of “Nothing at All”. Copies of these books will be available for purchase to support the Wanda Gag House.
Wanda Gag was born in New Ulm, Minnesota on March 11, 1893. A pioneer in the world of children’s books, Wanda is recognized for her innovative storytelling and captivating artwork. Her most famous work Millions of Cats has entered the public domain.
Cats and more cats! Join us following the storytime reading for a make-and-take at the Wanda Gag House (226 North Washington Street New Ulm) from 11:30 am-2:00 pm. Come paint a wooden ornament cat.
Summer hours at the Wanda Gag House will be May 18-October 13 on Saturdays 10:00 am -2:00 pm and Sundays 11:00 am -3:00 pm. Other times by appointment 507-359-2632.
